SUMMARY
Mobile Aerial work platforms are being used more and more often as a safe and efficient way for workers to accomplish work at heights. This course is designed to give operators and supervisors the knowledge and practical skills required to plan and execute the safe and efficient operation of scissor lifts and boom elevated work platforms. Participants wishing to take this course must have current working at heights training for the Construction or Industrial sector.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
Explain legislative requirements
Identify hazards associated with operating a mobile aerial work platform
Explain the importance of pre-operational work-path inspection
Explain fuel-source hazards
Demonstrate pre-operational inspection of the equipment
Demonstrate safe operating practices
Explain emergency lowering procedures
Explain fall protection requirements
Notes:
In order to take this course, participants must be able to show valid working at heights training for the construction or Industrial sector. A practical evaluation where the participant demonstrates the ability to successfully complete a pre-operation inspection and safely use the equipment is required prior to a certificate of competency being issued. Practical evaluations must be completed within 60 days from the course date. Our course includes the Practical Evaluation using either a scissor lift or boom lift from Safetywerx and will be conducted the same day as training.
